Australasia – Vertebra
It’s rare that I truly enjoy a metal album, and still I found myself listening to this album three times in a row. It’s so special- I’ve never heard such a combination of electronics, acoustic guitars, post-metal influences and heavy metal guitars and percussion. It’s entirely instrumental (except for some minimal vocals, but no lyrics), and I love how eclectic it sounds, and still merges into one complete, whole and defined musical piece. This album is unpredictable and fascinating, and it’s always fun to surprisingly enjoy an album that belongs to a genre you don’t tend to listen to.
(And isn’t the album artwork beautiful?)
