Collect Them All by Brian Berg / 44 Long Brian Berg, a singer songwriter, died las October, so his friends has decided to rerelease some his music on Bandcamp. If you haven’t heard of him till now, this will be a good place to start.
View Of You by Him&Me The debut album from the Israeli duo Him&Me is a wonderful combination of beautiful vocals and harmonies, folky inspiration and some electronic beats. Everything about it is chill and dreamy, and takes you on a calm musical journey.
Absence by Alanna Eileen Sometimes I don’t need more than an acoustic guitar strumming to make me appreciate even more this amazing thing called music. This delicate and so, so beautiful folk album from Melbourne does just that.
Obscure Discoteca by Dalmatian A very interesting mix-up of rock and folk with more “alternative” ingredients. The result is a fun and very musical psychadelic album that makes you w ant to sit and listen carefully to this album as a whole musical piece.
Order of the Arrow by Blessed Feathers Blessed Feathers combines folk, Americana & indie alternative rock & pop – the result is a tasty one indeed.
Hoofbeat, Caw, & Thunder (a tribulation psalm) h/e024 by Crow Tongue This album was released originally in 2006 but was just uploaded to Bandcamp – something in this dark-folkish album caught my ear & held it a prisoner since. can’t explain it really.
HIGHER by dietrich jon This EP by the American quartet (Diederik van Wassenaer, Connor Grimm, Nicholas Harley and Mark Edlin) is a fun indie rock album with hints of folk.
Regal Tender by Kinderwood A very very pretty lo-fi-folk album. Beautiful vocals, harmonies and many instruments come together and create this lovely, slightly melcancholic, melodic and enchanting piece of music.
Full Circle Love Song by Creature Double Feature Enchanting little psychedelic folk-rock gem by Creature Double Feature [Davis Johnson & Mason Johnson].
The Hollow Wood And Wondrous Cold by Tissø Lake Although this album was originally recorded in 2005 & released in 2006 – it’s still a nice little [quirky] folk album that you probably don’t, but should, know.
Twin Sons EP by Twin Sons This beautiful, beautiful EP comes from Robin Thomson, who is originaly from Scotland but currently living and recording in Berlin. There is something so delicate and sensitive about this EP, it really gave me goose bumps (but in the best way possible).
This is not another immediate hit E.P. this is what you will want to hear when you come back home drunk and tired, this is your new musical friend.
