The Reflections – Limerence
Dream pop relaying more on the rocky side of the spectrum, this album reminds me even of classic 80’s and 90’s bands like U2 (when they were good, you know…) and contemporary bands like Passion Pit, thanks to the good use of electronic elements as well. It actually has been a while since I’ve heard a rock album that doesn’t tend to be too plain and simple. This album is really well produced (no wonder, the band recorded it with producer/engineer Kenny Woods who has worked with Jenny Lewis, Lykke Li and Vampire Weekend) and it just leaves you wanting more. So, enough with the name-dropping; go ahead and listen to it.
